Chris Wera

Executive Director of Finance, Operations, and Administration, University of Denver's Health and Counseling Center

Chris Wera is the Executive Director of Finance, Operations, and Administration at the University of Denver's Health and Counseling Center. He has nearly 20 years of experience in this department and over 30 years of experience in finance, accounting, management, and operations. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics and Research, a Colorado CPA license, and certifications in Financial Management and Managerial Accounting. He has experience as CFO of a start-up non-profit and as a non-profit board member at the Butterfly Pavilion and the Cable Center. Dr. Wera frequently teaches statistics, managerial accounting, and business intelligence at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and traveling.

Chris sees his role with Comun as an opportunity to use his skills to propel Comun forward and make a difference for our community. He values creating a supportive and inclusive workplace.
