Mikayla Palma is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker honored to be working in the Southwest Denver community. In 2014, she received her bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. As a primary school teacher, Mikayla valued creating a classroom environment that was inclusive and centered on teaching techniques that supported students learning English as a second language. In 2021, she graduated with her Masters of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Mikayla has worked with survivors of crime victimizations from underserved communities and individuals who have experienced significant life transitions of grief and loss. Trauma-informed care guides her work as a therapist, along with mindfulness-based practices that align the mind, body, and spirit to promote wellness and well-being. Mikayla’s therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that the power of human relationships and uplifting collective work can lead to more profound growth and healing. She is also dedicated to offering alternative healing methods, such as Auricular Acupuncture, through her certification as an Acudetox specialist. Mikayla enjoys being outside in nature and going for walks with her dog.
